⚾ Feature Story: Touch ’Em All,  Actors!

Last night, the dream ended with a single swing.

The Blue Jays fought until the final pitch, but the miracle run stopped just short.

Across the country, millions of us sat there stunned and heartbroken.

Because it wasn’t just their story. It was our story.

That moment when you give everything and it still slips away.

Tom Hanks said there’s no crying in baseball. He was wrong.

But as one of my mentors says:

“In everything in life, you either get the result you desire or the lesson you require.”

So while the Jays didn’t get the result, the lessons are clear.

And those lessons can transform not only how you play the game, but how you live and act.

Here are three comeback plays every actor can learn from the World Series.

1️⃣ LEAVE IT ALL ON THE FIELD

The Jays may have lost, but they played full out.

Every pitch. Every inning. Every ounce of effort.

Actors, ask yourself: Are you leaving it all on the field?

Are you fully committed to mastery of your craft?

Are you training, rehearsing, and showing up like it matters?

Or are you waiting for someone else to hand you the opportunity?

It’s like walking into a restaurant, getting upset when the meal never comes, but realizing you never placed the order.

If you don’t tell the universe what you want, it can’t deliver.

At the end of this year, can you say with pride,

👉 I gave everything I had.

👉 I left it all on the field.

✅ Rate yourself 1–10 on playing full out.

That’s where real confidence comes from. In total commitment, not the outcome.

2️⃣ IT’S ABOUT THE TEAM

Every championship story is a team story.

You win together. You lose together. You grow together.

Actors need that same support system.

Who’s on your team?

Your agent, manager, coaches, mentors, readers, editors, trainers, accountants, assistants, and creative peers.

The ones who go far are the ones who built the strongest bench.

That’s why we created Monologue of the Month Club your clubhouse for growth, accountability, and creative fire.

A place to train, get feedback, and be lifted by a community that plays at your level.

✅ Rate yourself 1–10 on teamwork.

You do not need to be perfect. You just need to stop playing alone.

3️⃣ TRUST THE PLAN

Sure, the Jays lost. But maybe this is part of a bigger story.

Maybe they needed to feel that sting to fuel what comes next.

Actors face their own Game 7 moments all the time.

You prepare. You show up. You give everything. Then you don’t book it.

That moment tests your identity.

Are you the actor who quits, or the one who turns pain into power?

Maybe this isn’t a failure. Maybe it’s a setup.

The chapter before the breakthrough.

The Jays will be back next year, hungrier and wiser.

And so will you.

Because when you learn from the loss, you never really lose.

✅ Rate yourself 1–10 on trusting (knowing) everything is working out FOR you.

So take the lesson. Trust the timing. Get ready for your next at-bat.

Spring training starts now.
