⚾ Feature Story: Touch ’Em All, Actors!

This year, the Toronto Blue Jays returned to the World Series for the first time in 32 years.
As a 15 year old kid, I remember exactly where I was when Joe Carter hit that legendary “Touch ’Em All, Joe!” walk off homer to win the 1993 World Series. It was the second of back to back wins for Toronto and the whole country lit up.
Now I am watching another Jays World Series with my dad. Different house, same heart. Same love for the game that brings people together and creates moments you remember for life.
There are three big lessons actors can take from this 2025 Blue Jays team.
1) Excellence is rare
Behind every so called overnight success are years of reps. Workouts, tape study, mindset, recovery, cages, bullpen sessions. They do it because they love it. That love shows up on the biggest stage.
Actors are the same. Love the process. That is what makes you excellent.
2) You are one moment away
Springer’s clutch blast. Barger’s grand slam. Trey Yesavage’s rise from the minors to the World Series. Any player can be the hero on any night.
Same for you. Your next audition or self tape could change everything. Heroes are revealed when preparation meets opportunity. Stay ready.
3) It takes a team
The Jays win together. Players, coaches, trainers, staff, and fans.
Actors need readers, mentors, coaches, scene partners, and a community that lifts them up. Be a fan for someone today. Send a message to an actor you know and tell them you believe in them.
Since 2017 I have coached hundreds of actors through more than six thousand standout auditions, helping them book lead roles in television, film, theatre, commercials, and voiceover. That is why I built Actors Audition Club and Monologue of the Month Club. To help you rise.
I will be cheering the Jays with my dad this week. I am also cheering you on every day. Every audition. Every bold choice. Every late night self tape. I am with you.
Let’s go Blue Jays. Let’s go Lead Actors. 💙🎬
💬 Quote of the Week

— Trey Yesavage, Toronto Blue Jays rookie pitcher
From the minor leagues to the World Series in one season. Drafted in 2024, Yesavage climbed fast through the minors on focus, humility, and relentless preparation. When the lights got brightest, he did not say I hope I am ready. He said, I am built for this.
That is the mindset. You are not waiting to be ready. You are building to be ready.
