I remember sitting at restaurants with friends, the bill landing, and my heart sinking. I’d swipe my debit card and silently hope it would go through.
I skipped bills, juggled credit cards, told myself I’d be safe once I booked that “big role.” But every feast was followed by famine. And because I believed “I can’t afford to invest in myself,” I stayed stuck.
